We’re All in This Together

To all our partners, thank you.

The Period Place, can’t do what we do on our own (trust us, we tried!), that’s why we’re so grateful to have incredible organisations supporting us.

The Warehouse

The Strategic Partnership between The Period Place and The Warehouse is a powerful alliance working to transform perceptions, improve access, and promote education on menstruation in Aotearoa New Zealand.

The Warehouse’s brand of menstrual pads has set a new benchmark for affordability and quality. At $2 per 20-pack this budget-friendly product offers households a way to manage periods.

As a one-stop-shop for period care, The Warehouse stocks other leading menstrual brands including reusable underwear. What’s more, with The Warehouse’s soft plastics recycling, customers are also able to recycle plastics waste from products, reducing waste to landfill.

The Warehouse supports The Period Place through the donation of one pack of The Warehouse’s $2 range of pads for every 10 products sold in store. This scheme results in the donation of around 25,000 packets a quarter.

Donated stock is provided to grassroots community groups throughout Aotearoa, known as Impact Partners, by The Period Place, helping to ensure that underserved communities have access to period products.

Alongside this, The Period Place has supported The Warehouse to provide all 12,000 of their staff with free period products in the workplace. The relationship has also resulted the development of a number of educational resources, including a kids version of The Period Place podcast, available to listen to on their website.

The Warehouse is a leading organisation in the period equity movement and the partnership with The Period Place highlights what period equity can look like for every organisation in Aotearoa.

U by Kotex

U by Kotex aren’t just the most popular period product for customers in New Zealand, they also invented the disposable pad as we know it! In 1919, the Woolworth’s department store in Chicago sold the first box of Kotex pads, and the rest is history. Over 100 years later, they have donated hundreds of thousands of period products from their full range of pads and tampons through The Period Place. On top of this, our partnership includes:

  • Auckland Council Trial - free period products in community centres in Tāmaki Makaurau

  • U by Kotex sponsored The Period Place Podcast - find wherever you listen to podcasts
